Question about nassarius snails

    Do nassarius snails generally stay underneath the sand? I bought a couple last week and they came out the first time I fed after adding them. Since then, I haven't seen them at all.

    yes they are nocturnal. they sleep with their nose out of the sand and sometimes come out when you feed, then go back to sleep...

    try to watch them at night, they r really active actually

    MIne come out during feeding and at night to pick up the left over food.... so all is normal...
