I guaruntee I use more GFO in my tank than the weight of my clamp. I use 320 grams at a time. But that is true who knows what else is in the metal? Especially if it came from China:dizzy:

i have also used gfo and still do, but its just gfo. and is replaced or taken out completely. metals are made of a combination of elements, not just iron. and the metals in question can play a negative effect on the tanks livestock. the ocean with ships are a different story, there is alot more water to play in.

Some animals are even completly intolarent of any metal. Theres stories that the rebar in concrete tanks will drive sharks crazy. Until they bash themselves to death against the tank walls.

thats cuz sharks use electrical sensory to find prey and the rebar short circuits their brain and confuses them.
