    ok i added a piece of raw shrimp to get my cycle going and i have yet to see anything happen!!!!!why is that?can can anyone aswer thanks!!!

    Agree with posts above. It can take awhile for the shrimp to start rotting and produce ammonia.

    i added the shrimp 2 days ago and it was raw it turned red like it was cook lol so dous this mean its going to start rotting now?and i have a 29g nano cube

    a cycle takes weeks many most of the time. nothing will change in 2 days. I dont remember who it is here that has a sig that says go slow let it grow. It will come around let it stew a bit longer.
