Quick DIY question

    The pad has a VERY THIN layer on the other side. I was in the same boat as you when I installed some moon lights using the thermal pads, but after looking very closely you will see a very thin clear piece of plastic.. Just rip it off and stick.



    Trust me, its there just very thin. I used a jewelers flathead screwdriver to peel back the thin layer.

    Yup without question the plastic film is there. Sometimes a piece of tape is need to work an edge loose.

    ok, so you just have to use a razor to peel it off. I tried, then my wife tried and we couldn;t but once i figured it out it is easily repeatable

    I wouldnt count on those pads to hold the led in place, you should screw it down or use the epoxy

    They work very well IMO, I use them currently and have had zero issues. The heat from the LED makes the bond even stronger.

    this is good to know, I was wondering as it didn;t seem as strong at the thermal adhesive glue
