Breath right strips may help as long as it is not a true health issue. As for the dog, my dog occasionally dreams he is chasing something. Legs moving like he is running and barking. When that happens off the bed he goes and out the door. i need my sleep at night my dog sleeps all day. good luck

Personally I think that Sleep Apnea has become a catch all and real money maker for some doctors. Not saying that it isn't a real problem but I know several people that have been diagnosed with it including my father who have turned to alternatives other than the mask.

After he was told he would have to wear one of those masks when he slept which he felt was not for him, he talk to several of his buddies. They told him about a mouth piece that you put in your mouth and it aligns your jaws and reduces or even stops your snoring completely. He bought one called Vital sleep, puts it in his mouth at night it almost completely stopped his snoring.

I recently bought one for my wife, she told me it was a bit uncomfortable at first but she got used to it. On most nights unless she is REALLY tired she went from a constant freight train rumbling to an occasional snore depending on how she was laying in the bed.

You might want to check them out, especially since you state that you think it is because she is really tired because of the new job.

    Lose weight.

I know it sounds stupid, but weight loss will reduce/eliminate the snoring if the offender is overweight.

Just good luck telling your wife that. :end:

Well, my apnea isn't from being fat. The doctor gave me a choice. Removal of tonsils, adenoids, uvula, and shave my septum. (If that didn't work, go later and fix my deviated septum). I could do that or wear my CPAP mask. I decided to go the CPAP route. LOL

Lose weight?? if being overweight is not the problem, you just called snoopidydoo's wife fat.

Opinions and advice are great, but be mindful of how you phrase what you want to say.

my husband snores like crazy and he never knew it. I always fall asleep as soon as my head hits the pillow and I can sleep through anything, so it wasn't really an issue.

When he went to Iraq and had to share a tent with all these guys, he would wake up the next morning with boots all by his bed. They would throw their boots at him to shut him up! I guess it worked but just for a bit.

He found that if he sleeps on his side he doesn't snore as bad. Not sure if that will help.
