Thanks for your time, and let me take a little bit more to praise your work. I've tried to read everything I can find that you've written. As soon as I get my next paycheck (that doesnt go into the tank :p) I will be ordering your magazine. I cant wait!

    Thank you,

    From anthony calfo :)

I didn't know that about these fish. Unfortunately I see them often in 29g display tanks at LFS :(

What if one were able to support the tank by replenishing the tanks pod population with tigger pods, would a smaller tank then be suitable?

They need alot of algae to graze on from what I've heard.
Both reasons are why (i guess) they are harder to keep than mandarins.

What'd you follow my link from N-R :p

yeah I followed you.....figured this place would get more traffic.

From all of what I read they need algae which host crustacean.

Hmm, maybe I need to bug Mr. Calfo again :p

You can PM his on this board. He checks it often, just never posts. (name Anthony Calfo)

BTW, have you seen his magazine? I ordered mine as well as the coral prop book in hardcover!

I haven't seen the magazine or book...I usually just flip through whatever is there at the counter of the LFS and that's it.

I find that the internet has more to offer then most magazines which usually just half explain/describe something and leave you hanging.

As for the Rainford....I watched mine eat zooplankton today till it's stomach bulged so I am quite content with it now. Next step is to feed more commercial prepared foods.
