Hello, ok heres the story, one day my shrimp is fine and walking around and such (Cleaner Shrimp) and the next hes belly up on the sand bed? are there any reasons why this might happen? hes been in there a little over a month and...everything else seems fine? could this be because i just got back from a trip and filled alot of water that evaporated? are they sensitive like that?

    eh thanks...

ok...well i dont think it was so random...im pretty sure it was because of the change in salinity...it went from like 1.024 to 1.021...poor little bugger...

You answered your own question nicely...shrimps are very sensitive to any kind of water quality change. Nitrates are especially deadly but changes in salinity actually mess with their body chemistry and can actually kill them in a very short amount of time. Sorry for the loss..I love cleaner shrimps and have lost a few because of my negligence and also just happened to get an old one that did not survive the transport.
