Just thought I'd share an interesting experience I just had. I walked into my LFS 3 weekends ago to trade in my scooter blenny..(he had lost a lot of weight and would be happier in LFS guy's tank) and he was unpacking a shipment of fish. I sat there and watched him for about half an hour adding all the new fish. He took out three razor gobies. They're pretty cool fish if you haven't seen one before..they are about 7 inches long and paper thin with a pretty big mouth with lots of blue/purple colorations. He ordered three and received four and asked if I wanted the 4th one..10 bucks..he said they are impossible to kill unless they jump out! I said sure why not..brought it home..put him in the tank and he disappeared into the rockwork. (I am working out of town for the semester so I am only around my tank every other weekend by the way..) I told my roommate to tell me if he sees it at feeding times..nearly 4 weeks go by and neither of us saw the fish a single time. I assumed it was dead. Today however, I wake up and guess who is staring at me? Mr. razor goby..I can't believe it! It came out..cruised around the tank two or three times and went back into the rocks..but it's alive and looked perfectly healthy!

hopefully he will start coming out more..i found on one site though that they don't favor bright lighting..maybe he just doesn't like my halides..i have seen him two more times since this morning though. very prehistoric looking! I'm still kind of worried that i haven't seen him eat anything..maybe that will change today too!
