Hey everyone, I'm having some issues with my Rbta. I've had it close to 6 months now. He's been doing fine since. But a few changes were made a couple of months ago. First, I moved him from a spot that was t getting to much light into a spot with a good amount of light. Then, I got a small b/w clown who chose to host it. His tentacles are still red but the tips are turning white. I have him suspended probably 12 in from my 4bulb t5 fixture w/ ATI bulbs. My parameters are doing good. Forgot to mention, when removing him to the spot with better light, I placed him on a hole on the higher top of the rock. Just last week he moved behind the rock to a slightly lower position. What do you guys think may be the problem to the slight bleaching? Is my lighting not good enough or was he positioned too close to the light? Maybe my parameters for some reason? Or the clown hosting it?

I moved him from a spot that wasn't getting enough light to a spot where he was getting light in all directions****

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Never move Anemone unless it's in immediate danger from power head, over flow, heater, other corals.

An Anemone usually goes exactly to where it needs to go to get specifically what it needs to thrive.

Feed it periodically and leave it be unless it's in immediate danger.

Sorry to sound harsh, but that is Anemone 101.

Please post an image as well. BTA coloration is so variable that no one coloration can convey overall health of any BTA.

A nem is easily stressed and easily injured by moving.

What we think is right is irrelevant; as mentioned, it would've moved had it not been happy with it's original placement. Given that it partially bleached and moved lower, sounds like you placed it too close to the light.

My LTA moves around from a few places. I've recently changed some flow, so when I do, he moves to a spot he likes and if he then doesn't like it, he'll move again. He still eats often and doesn't look stressed (to my untrained eye), so I don't mess with him, I just don't put any other corals near him.
