So one of my two RTBA's has decided to go into a place i can't feed him or really get to him in anyway in. My question is should I just leave it there till he gets hungry enough and comes out? Or do I need to take all my rock apart :I

RBTA's don't actually need to be fed, they'll just grow faster if they are.
If its clearly not getting light or flow in that spot.. it'll move itself to a better location itself.

wait it out he is just movin around and true on the dont feed issue. light is the main source of life for them. being fed is just a treat like ice cream and cake for the kids. good luck

+1 def don't try to find it or move anything around. I have 3 BTA's and they foot up near the light and do move once and a while, my GBTA is footed behind my rock stack which bums me out since it's beautiful, but I don't really get to see it much.

What type of bulbs do you have? My nems were much happier when I upgraded to a 5x54w fixture and ATI bulbs. I feed them raw shrimp or krill maybe once every few weeks.

That should work as long as the nems are higher up. When you change bulbs I'd recommend looking into ATI's or Geissmans.

On a sidenote, one of my RBTA's just moved over next to my GBTA towards the back of the tank. It hasn't moved in prob 7-8 months so they are unpredictable.

The cool thing is they look like a Christmas nem now just in time for the holidays lol:

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
If he does not come out in another couple days, please do a follow up post. It may have moved to split/clone, if not and it is no longer opening or inflated fully during the photoperiod it might signal a problem.

And please do not attempt to move.

He's been back there for a week or more, my single RBTA split and the second one just decided to drive around for a while. When I try and look down the back of my tank I see him back there fully out just chillen. kinda pointing down though so i cant be getting that much light, I'll try and get a picture.

Btw the RBTA and GBTA look awesome together!

haha, thx, I remember the day it moved I was like where the heck is it?? My GBTA is in a similar position, it hangs over the back area, sometimes it seems like it wouldn't be getting a ton of light, but so far so good, it has the most bubbled tips of my 3 nems.
