So Im thinking Of getting a Rose Bubble Tip Anemone in the future, probably around summer for my 120g. I ultimately wanted a Carpet Anemone, But I hear they are very difficult to keep happy.

    My current lighting situation is 2x 54w T5HO 10,000k , and 2x 54w Actinic (all 48")

Would my lighting be enough to support one of these guys, If not would a different bulb suffice in the stock bulbs place? (coralife).

The tank is about 8-9 months old right now, I want to wait for a year at least ultimately. (gives me time to read up on the specific anemone Id like to get)

And last question, Anyone with these anemones, do your perculas host in them at all? Thanks everyone for your input and stories .

Ive had a carpet for 3-1/2 years now. They are easy to keep happy if you keep buying fish for it:cry:

Thats what Im afraid with them... All my fish are tangs pretty much, and carpets get huge, id Assume huge enough to take down a tang.

your light would be enough but even better if you swapped out one of the actinics for a 14k or maybe a 75/25% bulb, why waste one with actinic?
clowns will host in an rbta but im surprised you arent going with the carpet, i dont think they are any harder to keep than any of the other true anemones, to be honest,in my experience as long as you get a healthy one anemones are much tougher than they get credit for, if you can keep lps happy you can keep an already healthy anemone happy to

Not too sure if your light is enough or not. I think the rbta are one of the nems that don't require as much light as some of the other type of nems, but they still require quite a bit. I have a green bta, and when I had him under 175w MH he seemed to be doing well. now he has been under 250w MH and his color is insane. not much help, I'm sure someone else will give you more info.

Thanks Much for the input, I do keep LPS pretty happy, happy enough to have my duncan colony expand from 28 heads to 32 in a little over a month, My deep water lobo made a new head. Acans are growing well. and My scolys are getting fleshier.

As for the 2nd actinic, When i got the 2 lighting fixtures for the tank, yes two. they where on a good sale and cheaper then buying a 4 lighting fixture. each came with a daylight and actinic. Hence one has all actinic in it the other has all daylight.

sounds like you're ready to me! just make sure you get a healthy one, 1 other i would suggest is that when you get/order one get one that is already on the larger side,i dont have any facts to support this but it just makes sense to me that a larger one will be a bit tougher than a baby
