What's funny is after you have been around a while and see all the very successful reefs and all the different ways to get there it starts to be clear some things do not matter as much as we think. ;)

RC has a few experts that I don't see on other forums, I personally like 3reef, NR, and R2R

There are a few, different forums I read. The main reason I am go to NR is for their LED DIY thread. There is a lot of information there. I even ran into Renee and 1.0 there. Hehehe

I check 3reef all the time, when I go to RC I browse the Reef Fish page, LPS/SPS and sometimes the General Reef Discussion. I love R2R for the higher end coral sellers both vendors and private sellers, and NR for general for sale stuff but unless im looking for something specific its pretty low on the totem pole.

I don't mind a little snark or snobbery mostly because I do my research and know how to ask for help in reefing communities (ie posting parameters and maintenance routines)

Other than that I just ask Hunter through PM. He is my favorite sorcerer lol.

When i first got into the hobby all I knew of was RC.. And there i quickly learned it is very clicky in the state I was in. And like I saw posted very how to say not friendly responces to questions. But here on 3 reef, there are muliple threads and or categorys that you can post new threads or comments about specific items in said categorys. Wich I like alot your not doing a hunt and peck to find a topic in clams or Id this invert. You click on said thread and in the new words of my 2 year old.... TA Da..!! all you need to know.. lol..

But everyone is entitled to there own opinion..!

    Happy Reefing..!

    What Renee said...

Actually, she and I often cover different forums, but we do "overlap". Since we have different fortes, sometimes we'll ask each other to pop into forums/threads on a given forum.

For instance, since RC was mentioned, I spend a lot more time on RC than she does, but you'll really only find me in the "FO/aggressive fish" or "reef fish" forums...sometimes the SH forum if I'm bored. I think since I don't play in the reefer forums anywhere, I find that there's a lot less 'tude. I find it's all about where you play on certain sites.

That being said, we're both here on 3R, and we like the site enuff to be sponsors, so here we are.

I am finding that more and more people here are helpful, and that many of them do not mind repeating themselves over and over. hehehe.
