building a sump for a 75 gallon tank, im using my 20 long as the sump......

can i throw a phosban reactor and a calcium reactor in there if i can make room? would this be good or bad?

if i cant make room, im thinking of putting a tank on a tank so i have room, maybe put my refugium in 10 gallon and set on top of the sump with everything else in it....

    would this work????

----the pvc from the overflow into the sump, is the end supposed to be slightly out of the water or in the water? and same on the return to the tank....should it be in the water or out????

karma if you have an answer for each question....

You can hang those reactors on the side and just put the pumps in the sump and run the returns to the appropriate areas.

Seems to me all of the options you present are feasible. HOB type reactors would be a great way to save space for you in that situation. Also, with enough room in the stand, you could def suspend or mount a 10 gallon tank as a refugium above your sump but below your DT. Just be sure to have a separate, unfiltered feed going to the refugium because you want to give it the dirtiest water possible coming out of your tank.

ok, thanks for theinfo on the reactors, but what about the line from the tank going into the sump/fuge.....do the ends of the tubing go slightly into the water or does it hang just above it?
