    Marine Depot has the 2 little fishies phosphate reactor for $33 right now.

    I just ordered that yesterday. When I get it up & running I'll let you know how it works. BTW does anybody know if there's any reason why you couldn't put both carbon & phosphate reduction medium into the same reactor?

    They wear out at different rates so you would be wasting media when you changed on out.

    When I put the carbon and PO4 media in teh same canister, I use media bags to separate the 2. Carbon seems to exhaust faster than the PO4 media, so it's easier to have them in bags and just remove the one that needs replacing. Curt is right though, if you just mix them without separating them, you will be wasting the media that isn't used up.
