Ah yes... finally starting that reboot into the saltwater hobby.
Since I barely have any space in my house, I decided to go with a 10 gallon tank for this build. Right now it's just filled with saltwater; the heater is in as well, and I'm using a HOB filter. I plan on getting a Koralia nano (240 or 425?) and about 15 pounds of live rock to start up the cycle. I have absolutely no clue what to do in terms of fish, inverts, etc., so I'm open to any suggestions. I can't wait until the finished product. ;D

What about a unique type of clown such as a snowflake, maybe a fire shrimp, and a ricordea mushroom garden! Just some suggestions, this how i would have done my old nano if i could go back.

Yeah, I definitely want to go with a fire shrimp. I kind of want to stay away from clownfish, since all of my past tanks have had clownfish in them. I think I might as well get a different kind of fish, maybe one that's not common in the aquarium hobby. I was thinking of yellow striped clingfish. Then I looked up more information on them... so more than likely that's out of my list of options.

Anyone know of a good test kit I could get? I was looking at Salifert which I hear is probably one of the best out there, but all I saw were test kits for individual parameters. I don't think I can spend that much on test kits though, considering that each one is about $20 each.

I use API Saltwater Master for ammonia, nitrite & nitrates and Red Sea Pro Test kit for Calcium, Magnesium & Alkalinity. pH is done by my Reef Angel controllers. I also have a Hana Phosphate Checker.

All right, so I've pretty much ordered most of the equipment. I ended up going with 2 Hydor Koralia Nano 240's. I don't know if a 10 gallon would need that much flow, but even if it doesn't, I could always use it for another tank. Right now for a stocking list, I'm a little unsure. These are just some of the fish I've been considering:

    -Purple Firefish
    -Randall's Shrimp Goby
-Pink Streaked Wrasse (It doesn't grow too big, but I feel unsure about it.)
    -Bicolor Dottyback
    -Tailspot Blenny
    -Black Ocellaris Clownfish

In terms of inverts, I was mainly looking at a Blood Red Fire Shrimp, but I'm going to hold off on that for a bit. If you guys have any suggestions for a good stocking list then please, contribute by all means. Right now I'm mainly looking at the first two fish on the list.
