i saw this on reef cleaners and liked it. i want a leaf fish so i thought that this would be cool for him to hide in and promote color shanges to red. i havent heard much about this algaes filtering capabilitys or anything about it really. i am just wondering would it help with water chemistry or should i get caulerpa (not as pretty) instead?

It's beautiful, as far as algae goes. I remember having a problem keeping it, probably from a lack of nutrients. When it started to die it broke apart and there were a thousand little pieces everywhere. It was kind of annoying but as long as you have nutrients in your tank you should be fine.

ok, so since its gonna be a while before i get my leaf fish, could i feed the tank flake food but not have a fish in there? would that give it enough nutrients?

Does anyone plant this in there main tank? Im thinking of gluing a piece to a rock and setting it up in the display tank. I like the look of it.

this is my second shipment of it. The first one was growing great, but got all tangled up in my cheato so I had to toss it out with the cheato. I cant say for its filtering capability as I have cheato also, and its amazing.
