Any ideas on what this is? There is a strange red/orange growth on the bottom of my red brain. I think it is getting bigger but not too sure. The brain also has been looking a little deflated and may even be bleaching a little bit. Do you think this growth may be a factor? I moved him into a place with a little more flow to hopefully get some more food.

There is also a little worm looking thing growing out of the right side of the brain. Is this bad or a simple tube worm?

    What should I do?

    Thanks again!

It is a dry heat, yeah right !
Kind of looks like a tunicate if not that maybe a sponge, cool looking I like the colors.

The growth on the side in the tube is a vermitid snail. Harmless but their feeding filaments can irritate corals.

Do you think the sponge on the bottom of the brain will threaten it or irritate it? Can I just pull off the snail?

    Thanks.

I don't know about the snail, but I've had sponges and macro algae (have a nice red one right now) grow of the underside of my brain and it's fine. I'm not saying it's defiantly not the sponge-thing, but I would still be looking for other causes of it's unhappiness.
