Red Mushroom ?

    so i have the red mushroom and he is just basically loose and flowing around the tank came with the live rock should i put him in some rock crevice or small whole to keep him from flowing every where or just let him flow around the tank to his hearts content some of it is the water flow but i am not sure if its normal every thing i have seen they are fixed on rock somewhere? thanks

    You can try placing it as stated and see if it will attach. You let it be and it will eventually find a resting place and attach but not necessarily where you will be able to see it. The most common solution to the problem is to catch it and anchor it to some rock with bridal veil and a rubber band. Another method is to place it in a tupperware container with holes in the container and rubble rock inside. Cover the container and place in a low flow area for a few weeks. You can then remove the attached mushroom and rock and glue the rock to your rock work.

    I just glued mine in place again tonight maybe they just have a mind of there own. ;D;D Thought he was a goner but my son found him in a cave so we used tweezers and now he is glued.

    We had one that got loose and wouldn't stay anywhere, so I piled up a couple pieces of rubble in the fuge & set it on top. It attached itself and I moved it back up to the display.
