how are the powerheads aimed curently I personaly have mine aimed from the bottom corners aimed at the front top area I have a moded maxijet 1600 gph and a seio 1100 and want more flow I will do this later by upgradign both to maxijet 1200 with the 2000 gph mod on them

oh yea right now I dont have any sand storm created by these and mostly softies so flow could definately use a boost

seio goes across the front 3/4 up tunze goes across back wall only place it doesnt blow everything around ,could the tunze be too much for a 75 gal? its rated at i think 2200 gph.

no tunze isn't to much aim it from the front to back like i described so that the 2 powerheads flow colide against the front wall and bounce back to the corals and rockwork

i know what you mean tazzy but my problem is my tank is pretty full and i ve tryed placing the tunze in different spots ,front ,sides and with the over the tank mount iam limited to only so many places i will try to get one of the magnetic holders for the tunze i have the seio on one now and its a good item (no more bracket and i can place it where i want but the seio doesnt have nowhere near the flow as the tunze i was thinking of replacing the tunze w/2 seio 1100 or 1500

You may attempt to put "double" or triple heads on the nozzle ( if possible ) that would defuse the "harshness" of water flow and give you moe option for directing

I would place that Tunze at the top of the tank just below the water line closest to the front glass.

If the Tunze is bothering you with the high flow why not pick up a single controller? Its a controllable model right? I'm guessing a 6100?

BTW with that flow your at about 45x turn over. That in no way is too much for an sps tank.

the tunze is a 6080 not controlable i guess i should of bought the controllable model but the volume was more w/ the6080 and the other models w/ controllers are pricey ,and if i put it to close to the top it starts making minny vortexs and fills the tank w/ bubblesmaybe i should e bay it and get something elsetrying to figure this one out its always something ,probaly should of set up a betta tank
