    8-12 hours, many different preferences and views on this subject, no real wrong answer but I would not go below 8 or so.

    As an example, i run my actinics for about 11 hours and my daylights for about 8 hours.

    Alot has to do with what you have, how much PAR and PUR your animals are receiving among other things!
