Reef octopus DDNW150

Just got my new skimmer, and just wondering what kind of break in period this guy has any ideas?

 

The one I installed for someone only took a few days.

 

i have a hurricone and mine went crazy for about 2 days then it was fine..
i had the outlet on the cup to a five gallon bucket...

i did a 5 gallon water change lol and it started working great ... after it filled up the bucket.. and thats on a 270 gallon.. you can also put run that skimmer in vinegar and it will speed up the process.

 

Thanks, i did test run it prior and once installed only about 4 hrs into it i was pulling some nice skimmate out very impressed so far

 

awesome i love those skimmers... i think hurricone is a brother to them...
i used to be a euro reef only person. but octopus skimmers are awesome in my opinion..
dollar for dollar i believe they make one of the best bangs for the buck out thier..

 

So far very impressed, this skimmer is pulling more organics out then any of my skimmers combined over a year lol it was by far the best investment ive made in this hobby, next to my mp40

 

Awesome I will post pics of mine one day just the reaction chamber for my skimmer is like 12 gal lol
