    IMO

    it will be good
I have a BH1000 and its a very good product
so I have no reason to believe other Reef Octopus models wont be equally effective

My general opinion of any hob skimmer is that they are garbage ;p. but thats just me, I always prefer in-sump or in-line skimmers. But if your going with a hob, the reef octopus line of protein skimmers is one of the best, so if you must use one, the reef octopus a good choice.

I got the bh2000 and couldn't be happier with it. I am currently in the middle of a 75 gal build and will be looking to get a reef octo in sump skimmer just based on how happy I am with the current one.

That skimmer is excellant, a bit finicky but pulled a half cup of green tea skim in the first 6 hours and no microbubbles! Go for it!
