    GE 1?

Will it bond PVC to glass? I plan on cutting a 4" piece of pipe, ripped in half, to the back wall of my aquarium to use as an overflow box.

It will bond a but not a bond that I would trust for leaks. Silicone bonds to glass not really good for PVC to glass. When you see a PVC overflow cover siliconed to the glass overflow it's just to hold it in place. The real strength and water holding ability is only in the Glass to glass part.

Thanks. It doesn't need to be water tight, just needs to stay in place.

I used the marineland silicone. Got it at Petsmart:

I would imagine it would hold a PVC box on the glass But I don't know for sure so wouldn 't want to steer you wrong.
I"m sure it would hold but not sure about long term.

GE1 is good. You can silicon plastic as long as it is not high pressure. I have an homemade overflow on a 29 with. Diy plexiglass overflow on the back wall and to be honest I've sort of lost trac of time, but I'd say about 6yrs ish. I would drill the hole near the top on the back wall though :). You could also try glass holes overflows, but certainly the PVC pipe would be less $$

I use momentive rtv 107 I believe is the number. It's same silicone major tank builders use and very good stuff. Can get it at grangers the cheapest I have found
