    The snails and algae came in today, packaged well (gotta give a plug to my father-n-law who was kind enough to go over to the house and wait there until it arrived)..Hopefully the snails are alive and well. About a third of them already started moving around which is nice to see (and see my crabs clean some of the snails shells). hopefully now the the rest will 'come out" though I know it can take up to 3 days for them from being dorminent

    I have to admit that I was surprised to see how little water was in there and that John placed a wet rag in there vice adding more water. That is kinda crazy how snails can live with that little water in there.

    If they're hermit's cleaning the snail shells...they're not cleaning them they're eating them. Sorry :/

    This statement is not true in all cases. Many of my hermits will clean the shells of my snails and move on as soon as they get bored with it and the snail is unharmed.

    well I have to bring unfortunate news (so far, could change tomorrow) it's the 3rd day and my 15 Antillean Nerites did not make it. As a matter of fact 4 of them came out of their shells (DOA) as soon as they were entered in the water
