How would you go about rekindling the spark / reef bug in yourself if you fell into a reef keeping slump??????????????

Buy new stuff or reaquascape. Change it up a tad, maybe get something that is a little higher maintenance to get you interested again.

    +1 on above

looking at ways to challenge yourself and to learn about new aspects
is something I am very keen to do
learning about aspects of the hobby that may not be a current strenght is also a way to continue to renew your interest in the hobby in general

when a tank is finished and certainly the more automated it becomes
then it stops becoming something you need to spend a lot of time working with
and just something that gives you aesthetic pleasure

when setting the tank up, there is a lot of excitement
followed by multiple opportunities for more of the same, as you visit the LFS regular for additions

thats why some of us have a 2nd or 3rd tank
it also explains why I mess about with additives in 1 tank and mess with different forms of carbon dosing in other tanks
I have basically created a continuation of interest , even though the original tank is now stocked and just growing

i've been in the slump past weeks. received a shipment of the frag rack i ordered, and just like that, i'm back.

..but that's one of the reasons i prefer diy'ing than buying off the rack. helps keep everything interesting at all times.

HomeGrown I've stepped in and out of this hobby a few times in the past. Do like I do with duck hunting when I start loosing intrest I've always found someone's Kid that wanted to learn about it and started carrying them now I'm to the point I almost like watching kids do it more than I like hunting myself. Find someone that has intrest and mentor them and get them in this hobby the right way and find enjoyment in teaching.

I've been in a slump for awhile...haven't figured out how to get out of it yet! Good luck to you!
