Last week I made BRS happy (and likely my wife mad:p)!

I purchased a Reefkeeper V2 with net, 2 BRS dosing pumps and the 2 part chemicals (trying to get the tank ready for SPS). I know that the Reefkeeper is probably overkill for my system but I love the email alerts and other net options (long days at the office).

My question: Should I split the daily portions of CA and dKH into 4 or 5 alternating doses or all at once or...???

Sounds like an awesome purchase . . . will def be following this thread as I am currently on the fence over CR / Dosing with two part - and also at the same time shopping for our Controller unit that MUST have NET connection.

make sure you get all your parameters where you want them first. then use the dosing to maintain them.
I have heard you should dose them at different times at least 1 hour apart, and many have said they offset the times to be 6 or 8 hours apart to allow the tank parameters to stabilize.

I would stagger your dosing 6-8 hr apart

...so dose Ca every 12 hours and dKH every 12 hours?

When I get it all set up tomorrow I will post some pics

Midnight, alk. Noon, cal. The alk dosing at midnight can help alleviate the nighttime pH swing if you don't have a fuge keeping it steady. You shouldn't dose too close together, or you're likely to get a precipitate.

I dose Ca manually. I have the reefkeeper setup to dose alkalinity 24/7. It turns the pump on for one minute then off for 25 minutes then repeats.

Is there a reason you dose Ca by hand...and pecip when you do?

Just didn't want to use another output on my reefkeeper for a doser. I just dump about a cup full into in the overflow every other day and it does not precip like alkalinity does.
