I use my MAC to monitor my system using the DA website. I can make changes thru that website hooked up to a NOIP website. I dont use my Mac to program my RKL, I do that at the head unit.

You can't update a SID without a PC.

I'm just stating a fact. It came directly from Digital aquatics support today. Their my reef software is PC only. Apex supports both.

He compares them side by side so you can visually see the difference and what each has to offer.

I saw this on YouTube: Neptune Apex Vs Reef Keeper Lite-Saltwater Aquarium Controller - YouTube

Due to my extended absence from my system during the year, I have decided to switch my aquarium controller. I was running the Reef Keeper Lite Plus, but switched to the Neptune Apex controller. Before I decided to make the switch, I thought I would do a quick video on some of the basic functions of both aquarium controllers for comparison reasons. Both controllers are great and are capable of doing their job as programmed. However; being gone for weeks at a time, I believe the Apex was the controller for me as the Apex allows me to control and monitor my system from remote locations.
