    who all thinks aquaria lighting is way over priced? there has got to be a way to use parts from lowes or homer depot to make one hell of a lighting fixture.
    has anybody ever did this or thinking about it?
    please chime in and let me know what you think....exspecially if there are any electricians out there ;)
    i would like to have a metal hylide or t5 fixture for a 100 gal, but don't want to pay 1,000 bucks for it!!!!!

    well have you ever seen fluorescent strip lighting for like kitchens and rooms and stuff?
    what about like that?

    buy used you can get lights much much cheaper that way.

    Used lights are much cheaper. As far as building your own, I'm sure you CAN do it, but I'm not so sure how.
