    There's the sump in my new 75G. It's just an example.

    The sump is a 40B which is 16" tall. The baffles I cut are 10" tall. This leaves plenty of leftover space for siphon from returns in a power outage.

    I'm not saying set yours up this way. The drawing is just an example.

    I like big fuges.

    I am not sure of you financials either, but it is fair to say, less glass/acrylic you need to add in the cheaper the build. The above is a very nice design, but conversely a bit more expensive to build. If money was not a problem, I would for sure recommend something along the lines of the above. On a budget, go simple.. they preform the same task essentially...

    yeah, i think im going with my design or the one that reefmonkey first suggested.

    Im building a fish room as well, so im trying to spend the least as possible.
