    I agree with fishermanas well. A 90° elbow and a piece of pvc cut to extend to the water surface should allow surface water to flow through.

    I was just talking about adding a K-1 to my fuge...Do you have it high? Low? what works best?

    Rather than using a bulkhead fitting that could potentially clog or restrict the flow I cut 5 1" teeth into the far side corner on the fuge wall to allow the outflow to skim the top at the same time it drained the excess water out to the return area.
    My ball of chateo sits on a piece of egg crate just below the teeth wich forces the water thru the chateo on its way out, seems to work great, the ball has doubled in size and feels like a dark green brillo pad :)
