    Agreed. Also, per Gabby's post, I, too, would not run 2 separate systems with their own return pumps from one DT; you'd definitely be asking for a flood. I would suggest plumbing the existing sump/fuge and the new one together as one system with a single return.

    Yes I only will be using one pump for all this. These pumps were running a 1500 gallon reef tank prior so my 500 gallons should be a non issue..the pump is good for 6000 gph at 0 head. All the tanks are plumbed to the one 90 gallon sump and I have had multiple power failures and not even a drop of water has over flowed. The second hammerhead is just a back up should the current one spring a leak or what not.

    Remote LR can quickly become a new DT though>:)) with the addition of some cool inverts and maybe a fish or two = awesome

    Maybe that's what ill do I have a spare 75 gallon laying around make it a like rock and invert tank..I have very few inverts in the 220 they very quick become snacks for my porcupine puffer and stars and stripes puffer. The triggers don't mind them either
