I have a couple of hoods- one a small power compact Coralife (20") and 2- 48" t-5s (one a 2 bulb and the other a 8 bulb nova). Both nova have fans and also have burned out ballasts. Getting replacement ballasts for these units has turned out to be a PITA, so I am considering retrofitting at least the non working areas with LED strips. The small hood I would like to completely change over as the bulbs are $50 to replace and don't seem to last that long (square pin single with 2 blue, 2 white).

Question- who sells quality retrofit strips, and what colors do I need for fresh water?

Small hood goes on a 60 gallon hex. The big light issue/area is a stock tank that holds Koi and lilies that's in my garage (they come in for the winter as I live in alaska). I need something that will penetrate and have light the lilies can use. I currently have the big T5 on it. The lilies like it but its not enough light for blooming. Current depth is 2 feet (workable) but surface area is 5 feet diameter and a round tank (about 400 gallons I think)
