Beautiful fish mate. I have noticed that my firefish comes out more when other fish are out. Maybe it's a reef thing where if other fish are out swimming around it must be safe. lol
Mine stayed hidden most of the day in my 10 gallon but since I upgraded to a 65 he's out all day everyday. lol kinda wish I had a purple firefish though.

no canopy on my tank, and it hasn't tried to jump once. it was shy of the other fish for a few weeks though.
coralreefer Tom was working the day I bought him. He said it will only eat live food or frozen, but i guess he didn't know what he was talking about. hell it was eating flakes the next day with all the other fish.

Looks good. Maybe drilling some small holes in it for gas exchange would be a good idea.
Id hate for your fish to die from drowning. LOL

How much area do you need for gas exchange to happen? There are a few holes on the sides for plumbing and stuff to come in

If it was mine I would drill as many 1/8" holes in it as I could. The whole purpose of the top is to keep the fish in. The more area for gas exchange the better.

What did you use in the way of tools to make your lid? It looks great.
