I know that these are not the easiest nems to care for. I had a Sabae for a long time that was extremely healthy and thriving until I had a bit of a tank crash, so I know my tank and myself can handle them. My question is are the Magnifica similar to care for. I really want another nem and I think the Magnifica are beautiful. Does anyone have any experience with these? What do they require other than steady water parameters (ie no nitrates, posphates, etc.), high lighting, and spot feeding? Thanks for all your help and opinions.

VERY picky anemone. They require stable water and not just good parameters. In other words, if you normally wait a couple of days to top off for evaporation, that's going to be a big temperature and salinity swing.

I currently have a magnifica and they are a headache. they don't stay in one place for a very long time. They could be ok in a huge tank but not in a 46G tank. that could be a nightmare

Good to know. I'll probably just stick to Sabae's. They are said to wander as well, but mine found a spot it liked and never moved again. Are there any nems with similar coloring to the magnifica that aren't such a pain?

@inwall Love your avatar. That has to be a bullie.

:cheesy: That's not actually Tyson. This Boston Terrier looks just like him though because of the one black eye. Tyson wouldn't let me put an outfit or wig on him in a million years.
