    hello i was wandering how long rfo/di membranes last befoe i have to change it

    they last about 3-5 years. But it depends on your water temp, how much tds you have, how often you use it, whether you back flush it or not and Im sure several other factors, but they do last a while. You will have to change the carbon filter and DI resin though probably within a year of use, again it depends.

    I'm not sure which unit you have, but all the R/O units that I've had last only 1-2 yrs. I know alot of factors will determine how long the membranes last, but I think that 3-5 yrs is pushing the envelope. Read the manual, it will tell you. Luna

    I got mine from airwaterice.com and the membrane description said it lasts between 3-5 years. I will have to look into this. Thanks for the heads up

    With low water pressure and dirty water you can cut the life in half. The way to get the most out of it is with a booster pump. I check mine with a TDS meter and pressure guage before the membrane.

    We have customers who have over 8 years on their membrane, and others who have to replace it once a year. It depends upon the quality of the feed water, the amount of water you filter, how careful you are about changing your prefilters, etc...
