    these past few days it has been raining and its getting darker by the day but still probably about 20 hours of light. i wish i had a mountain stream in my backyard. we have well water that is loaded with iron.

    Where you at? I use to live in Eagle River outside Anchorage, had a house on the hills and had the most gorgeous view of Knik Arm and the sleeping lady mountain range. Most beautiful place in the world Alaska! Send that rain our way.

    Yes it is the same unit. Don't let the refurb fool you, they contain all new filters and resins, its just the housings may have a scratch or two. The people on here who have reported buying one say they appear brand new though, I would't pay the extra $70 myself when thye are the same thing.

    ok awesome i'm going to jump on that deal right now! I am up in Fairbanks! IT is definitively a beautiful place to live... until the middle of winter when there is only a few hours of light!
