RO/DI question

    hello i have a question about this RO/DI setup Aquarium Water Quality: Pure-Flo II RO Units
    can i use the 106$ version w/o a pump hooked to my faucet, or am i misunderstanding and NEED the version w/the pump? btw i just want to be able to keep about 15 gallons stored in 5 gal containers since i do not have an ATO

    it depends how good is your water pressure?

    most of the time you do not need a pump unless your water pressure is real bad.

    That is a very low end unit and receives lots of quality control and performance complaints. It does not have DI either which is almost a must. Plus being only 25 GPD at 65 psi pressure you will be standing around for a week to fill anything.
    You want at least a 75 GPD system so you don't have a faucet tied up for days. You also need a TDS meter and pressure gauge.
    Let me suggest the CSP-DI found here for $145, it includes a 90 GPD membrane, an inline TDS meter, inline pressure gauge, much higher quality filters and a full size DI. If you don't want DI the CSP is $10 cheaper but still includes everything else. Much higher quality and built and backed by an American company doing RO/DI for 25 years.
