Its not even worth the $65 and wil cost you a fortune to operate.
It used low quality high micron, non standard replacement filters that are hard to find, cost more, do not filter as well and do not last as long. It also uses granular activated carbon which has no place in front of a RO membrane and will turn to dust ruining the membrane.

Look for a normal 4 stage full size RO/DI sytem which uses standard 10" replacement filters in low micron ranges. It will cost a little more up front but will save you money every filter change and the membrane and DI will last 10x longer or more.

A few suggestions are the RODI-90-REFURB found here for $120:
    Untitled Document

It includes a 0.5 micron absolute rated sediment filter, a 0.5 micron 20,000 gallon carbon block, a 90 GPD treated and tested high rejection rate RO membrane, a full size vertical refillable 20 oz DI filter, a pressure gauge and a capillary tube flow restrictor.

    Or the BFS-161 found here:
    http://www.buckeyefieldsupply.com/showproducts.asp?Category=168&Sub=166

A 1 micron sediment filter, 0.5 micron carbon block, 75 GPD Dow Filmtec RO membrane, full size refillable vertical DI, pressure gauge, capillary tube flow restrictor and even a handheld TDS meter.

    Or the Optima series here:
RO DI | Saltwater Aquarium Water Filters | Reverse Osmosis Booster Pump

All use industry standard replacement filters in the proper micron ranges, Dow Filmtec RO membrane and ful size vertical 20 oz DI filters that can be refilled with bulk resins to save you money over the throwaway filters. You will also find they are not any bigger than the one you linked to, its spread out horizontally and acually takes up more room while the yare attached to a top bracket which makes the easy to store or mount. You will recoup the cost difference on the first or second filte rreplacement and save from then on.

    short version: ITS CRAP!

Without retelling my story again I bought one & was sorely disappointed. It wasnt even assembled together correctly, and leaked everywhere. I got it to work, but I shouldnt have to correctly assemble something out the box, nor spend anouther $10-$15 fixing the leaks.

purewater club does to RODI what aquacon does to livestock.
