Sounds like a great time Rolo, At Waynes house, and maybe also trimming the tree?
I have Mega Chaeto- Rainforest- I like the way that sounds!

I'll rest when I'm 80. LOL My pond is green as can be. Guessing it's part of the cycle. Do you use anything special to keep it clear? I got Matala filters in there and the waterfall other than that a turtle one fish and a partridge in a pear tree. If I add plants I know it will help.

 

Wayne's Tank is stunning in person. His hospitality is like non other. His kindness is infectious. He is truly blessed and surrounded by great people. Glad I could be a part of that. As far as my tank I'm battling algae and now that the huge is back I'll stop and get some cheato soon to get everything back in control.

What would cause sand to get caked up?

 

I used to add stuff but basically clean the filters, drain water every couple months.
Get some pleco for the pond.

 

Do you dose
Overdose of alk, cal, mag can cause it

 

Are you carbon dosing rolo? If so, to much alk will cake up like chris said. For your pond, check out tetra algae control. It clears green water in hours and the filter does the rest. I use it for my wife's cichlid tank and man does it work wonders. A 4 dollar bottle lasts about 7 months.

 

I think my parameters must be off I'll have to check it. Started a new job and haven't been home much the last few weeks. I don't dose anything as of yet I may have to to keep things in check.

 

As far as the pond algae- UV sterilizer- if you already have one going-
get a new bulb, or a bigger one with new bulb.

Bought two employees for the tanks algae issues.
Also a picture of the pond complete 100% aside from the green water I will clear that up.
