I have a well established royal gramma in my tank who has been very healthy up until yesterday barring the occasional spot of ich on her tail or fins. She has one or two spots of ich on her tail and a couple on her fins, but none on her body and her breathing is fine, so i'm assuming nothing in her gills. The other thing is I recently added a coral beauty and 3 emerald crabs. I saw her in a fight with one very large emerald crab who's claw could get easily around her. Today, I found her lying on a rock for a few minutes, and I thought she was dead, but after a few minutes she just started swimming around again, looking perfectly healthy. This one has me stumped and any suggestions as to what it could be and what I should do would be very welcome.

I have a Royal Gramma that I almost lost due to a Rainbow Wrasse,(which died suddenly?)and a rock rearrangement (she lost her hiding spot)
My Gramma was lying in the sand, not hiding anymore, almost as if she were dead. She wouldn't eat. The Wrasse was actually picking at her while she was lying on the sand.
I transferred her to a very small 7 gallon tank and thought I might lose her, but after a few days she suddenly started swimming again, found a new hiding spot. She is now in a 20 gallon with just a couple of small fish and she's thriving. That was almost a year ago.
Anyway, I think it's the stress of being picked on.
I hope this helps, they're such beautiful fish.
