After 3 years together my female Maroon has passed on. Now my male (tiny 1" long) just hangs out at the top of the aqurium. Once in a while checks out his BTA. and only get fired up during dinner time. Will he tolerate another small maroon and if so can you mix a white strip with a gold?

read the thread 2day and would say it may be better isolate him (in a peanut butter jar w/ holes or somhow) keep him there for a day or so and upon his release introduce a larger clown of the same local (i.e. if he is sumatran... has gold bars) and maybe even move afew objects and the normal course is for the larger one to become a dominant female (assuming she is already not one) and usually they'll pair up. Anemones work wonders as well but may cause extreme territorial disputes with tank mates within the vicinity of the hosting anemone.
