    hi i am new to the forum and this is my first post i have a question about my sailfin tang that i hope someone might be able to answer ....i have noticed in the last few days he will change color to a very light almost white color he does not stay this way but he is doing a lot more now ...i recently added a saddle clown to the tank and they seem to get along fine i dont know if this new addition has anything to do with it ...thanks in advance for your help....mandie

    The color will get more white at night when the lights are off and when it first turns on.
    Have you been feeding the tang plenty of algea?
    It may also not have enough protein so you may want to add some supplements to the food your sailfin is eating.

    Freaky isn't it. Mine will do that all the time. but more in the morning and at night. It dose not appear to be stress or dominance related.

    thank you for your post ...he gets lots of lots of algea and also he loves to eat the bloodworms so i guess that would be the protien part i am glad to know that this is not something abnormal thank you again for your help ;D
