Salinity!

    Well i herd that Pulsating xenia grow better with the salinity at about 0.027 is this correct? What salinity is going too high? thanks again!

    I'll assume you mean 1.027. And that is not too high. I've had my salinity up to 1.030 because my refractometer needed to be calibrated. I've not heard that having you salinity at that level will help xenia grow better, it usually grows just fine on its own.

    Xenia and salinity are not the important issue here. Water flow, lighting and an ample supply of dissolved organics and nitrates will ensure a huge thriving Xenia forest, evident in my aquarium.

    I have mine at 1.024-1.026 and my Xenia are breeding like wild fire.

    I have no experience with it because I don't want to be overrun with xenia, but from my understanding xenia can grow just fine without high salinity. The high salinity could well hurt other things too.

    Xenia does thrive on a dKh of about 12.
