    Hi All,

I've enjoyed looking through 3reef before joining. Well here I am. I have a 1200 square foot pet store. I have many customers asking me to get into salt water so I am going to give it my best shot.

They want me to start with "live rock". I have a 30 gallon tank setup, with a 55 gallon filter on back and a power circulator for lots of water movement. I used "instant ocean" salt and it looks like the salt level is right in the red zone on my hydrometer. Suggestions on "lighting" and anything else would be greatly appreciated. I really want this to work but the only knowledge I have with saltwater is what I've read on the internet and 3reef.

    Please HELP me.

Thanks a bunch and I am so happy to be here.

Welcome aboard. The key to being successful in saltwater is research. Don't be afraid to ask questions the members here are a wealth of information. From what I have found they are very happy to help out and are very compassionate to newbies. There is no petty bickering just commaradery.;)

nobody gace you any suggestions haha. so you want to start off selling live rock? the only needs for that would be a heater, water circulation, and basic lighting. i would do a water change at least every 3 weeks. you wont be able to put much live rock in a 30 imo
