Ok I just acquired a new tank. Its a 90 gallon drilled on the bottom to a 30 gallon sump. The sump is 3 compartments. The inlet from the DT, the fuge for macro and LR and the return. I just set the tank up and it seems that I am getting a tone of sand in the part that water comes from the DT. Is this because I just set it up and its cloudy? The tank has cleared up quit a bit. Should I take the sand out of there and add it to my refugium?

it sounds like its just sand and other debris collecting in the sump. You could move it to the fuge but that may be fairly hard to do with water still in there.
