Ive had a recent issue with my sand. It seems to have a brownish dust on it. Ive done water changes, stirred the sand, but continues to come back within a day or so. Ive been told a bacteria, ive been told just a algae that will go away. Any ideas on what it could be?

how old is your tank? what are your parms? It is probally cycleing if it is a new tank, if so the diatoms will disappear after a while, just keep up with the water changes

Having the same problem, but my tank is cycling. I've seen that putting more flow on it helps.

    Will be following along.
