    It might be kinda big but dragon gobys are absolute machines. I think all they live for is getting a HUGE mouthful of sand and sifting all day.

    as discussed in other threads, sand sifters reap havoc on the lsb. so that is a negative. i have 2 fish and am limited to inverts for now. anybody know anything about cucumbers? the lfs had a very small one. about 2 and a half inches.

    Cucumbers are cool but when they die they can really mess up your water quality in a short amount of time.

    Can be as long as 10 years in the wild. The problem is there's no real way to tell how old they are when you purchase them.

    ive never had a cucumber but ive hear they are kinda hard to keep for some reason. but they would dig in the sand.

    One thing I found out with Sand Sifiting Stars is that unless they have alot...and I mean alot of sand they will eventually starve to death. I tried to feed mine all sorts of vegi meals but it never took any. Im not sure if anyone else has had longterm sucess with this star.

    well i do have a solomn island sand sifter in my aggresive FO tank and hes doing great going on about a year now... but i dont want anything to die and also affect the nitrates.

    more the dying part... i dont like loss
