yes, thats why i would like to take him back to the store. The fish store i go to often told me he would be ok... of course when i got home (like i do with all my fish) i looked it up and got all the information i needed to know and found that hes not ok in my tank...This is the last time i will trust somonelses opinion. they just tryed to make a sale. :(

hate to state the obvious but you do realize that if the fish store cant make a sale then business will go down hill. take what they tell you and use your judgement. and if still unsure ask to put a deposit on what you want so they will hold it for you and then go home and research

while you are at it, take the chocolate chip starfish back if you can, or trade it. they seem to feed mainly off sponges and may eat sessile inverts

I know startfish are very sensitive to changes in there environment. Its possible the Star was sick before you recieved it but even still I wouldnt take any chances on him getting better. just take it back while you can.

I know starfish will stay in the same spot somtimes for long periods of time but i dont think two days.
