scary fire this morning

The house beside my business went up in flames this morning. Here is a picture of when I got in here at 5:45am. Pretty scary because from down the road I wasnt sure if it was my business or not!!!

Ouch... That would suck. I can only image how much I would have been freaking out.

What was the other business??

 

The owner said it was his son who started it. We were out of power since Monday from the hurricane. He had his generator running but turned it off last night. Got up for work this morning and his son went to pick up the 5 gallon container of gas beside the generator. He had a cigarette in his mouth and an ash fell into the gasoline and ignited it. Then the 5 gallon container exploded and ignited the camper and the garage.

It was a homeowner's garage and camper. The camper burned so fast it was like it literally evaporated

 

Holy cowfish, I don't think I ever want to step in a camper again

 

Yikes... really glad it wasn't your plant. I know that feeling. I'll never forget driving up to my dealership with it erupting in flames... Lost over a million dollars in parts, toasted 4 customers cars and 6 of our own.

On the plus side
The next month we did a commercial about it. "Our deals were so hot last month that we caught the building on fire, this month we are heating it up and may just do it again" For the next year every time someone saw me out and about they mentioned it.
