    I'm in Chattanooga, Tennessee. My school's a hop skip and a jump away from the state line to Georgia. Going to a friend's house that lives in GA this weekend actually. Story of my life...3/4 TN and 1/4 GA along with 30-50 minute drives.

    looks nice have you considered drilling the sides for a closed loop. so no powerheads?

    if i had the funds that what i would do.

    besides how can your wife/gf say no so close to your birthday and christmas.

    Drilling the sides for no power heads? Please explain. my returns are through the 8 lock lines in the top and bottom for the reason of avoiding power heads.

    oh well, drilling the sides is basically the same concept just looks cleaner inside.
    where you have multiple bulk heads on each side of the tank(each needs there own shut off valve) and you plumb some bulk heads into a external pump intake and and the others into the output of the external pump.

    alot of people do this if they have the aquarium recessed into a wall.

    but for it to look the best it can you need to cover the sides of the tank. but im sure you could make something that goes with the stand easily.

    edit: also you can get some screens so livestock won't get sucked in. done right this would provide the best flow out of any set up.

    Is your Avatar your own Mandarin? Looks just like my spotted mandarin.. he's nuts.. reminds me of a dog the way he plays with the Koralia's.. :loco:
